Jeka Does not like this wine: 80 points
February 25, 2020 - A one-note wine. no complexity or depth. Not a fan.

April 27, 2018 - Funnily enough a neighbor presented us with a bottle of this shortly after the WSJ shipment had arrived. A perfectly decent Medoc, very characteristic, restrained fruit, slightly tannic, refined yet simple. It would probably become more so with age but now was okay too.

January 20, 2018 - When I used to visit my late father he would invite me to inspect his modest cellar that was populated mostly by purchases from Laithwaites. Little did I know that Laithwaites also operated in the States and one of the WSJ purchases utilized them, so that was kind of nostalgic.
This is a very characteristic Bordeaux with the lean, slightly severe profile, and emphasis on wood and tannins with the fruit peering through. This will probably soften with age.
