September 28, 2018 - Fairly deeply colored. Spicy nose indicating a relatively high level of syrah and mourvèdre over grenache. Also, a bit of reduction. A touch of green tannins leads me to think that at least some of the cuvée was machine harvested. Last July I visited one of the Perrin wineries where they produce their non-Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It was actually northwest of Courthézon in terroir much different than classical Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Flat, not hilly. Dusty, light brown soils as opposed to stones. This Côtes du Rhône may well have been made at that large, modern winery from grapes outside the precious Châteauneuf-du-Pape area.

July 12, 2017 - Pnp. This has a dark ruby-garnet in colour. On the nose, I am picking up some spicy dark red fruits and some herby black cherries. There is some "greeness" to the palate which is mixed in with the black cherry and blackberry paste; a bit rough at the end and the alcohol is detected a bit. Medium bodied with a medium finish. Yet another quaffer I'd sip while I await on it's bigger siblings to mature. 88+

February 13, 2017 - I normally do like this style, and have good memories of this producer. But on drinking this one, I was underwhelmed. The roughness I expect in the taste, the overall flavor profile, just felt washed out. It could have been me, so take with a grain of salt, but I'll pass on this year and because of history try the next vintage.

February 12, 2017 - Great QPR. Pop and pour. I would buy this all day long.
