July 14, 2020 - Cherries. Nice and smooth; the mourvedre adds just a little complexity that makes this enjoyable on its own but competes a little bit with richer food.

October 18, 2019 - Though I had high expectations for this wine -- having thoroughly enjoyed another wine from this producer ("Les Perrottes") and seen respectable ratings for this one on Vivino, first impressions for this wine were disappointing. Upon opening, no heat, but also very muted taste -- did not really get much fruit at all. It eventually opened up after nearly 2 hours in a decanter, after which it was more flavorful, but not earth shattering. I was hoping this wine could have been one that would qualify as a pop-and-pour every-day drinker given its reasonable price point, but given that a long decant was required, it's probably not a re-buy for me, unless my one remaining bottle turns out to be unexpectedly better.
