  July 14, 2020 - Cherries. Nice and smooth; the mourvedre adds just a little complexity that makes this enjoyable on its own but competes a little bit with richer food.

Upon opening, no heat, but also very muted taste -- did not really get much fruit at all. It eventually opened up after nearly 2 hours in a decanter, after which it was more flavorful, but not earth shattering. I was hoping this wine could have been one that would qualify as a pop-and-pour every-day drinker given its reasonable price point, but given that a long decant was required, it's probably not a re-buy for me, unless my one remaining bottle turns out to be unexpectedly better.
