February 23, 2024 - 23022024 - Supertanker lousang with J,H,M,G & A. My bottle prepped 2 hrs before dinner. Plenty of red fruit, red currant, tart cherry with delicious tobacco, sundried tomato & leather. Medium plus acidity with polished tannins but felt the finish tad too short. Lacks the complexity & depth vs the other powerhouse wines tonight

January 14, 2024 - See previous notes. Paired with duck confit, Carolina gold rice and wood roasted oysters. The second and third glass were the best. Hence, decant at least 30-60 minutes in advance. Complex, layered with great texture. Mocha, pencil lead shavings and forest floor.

November 7, 2023 - Juicy red fruits, lovely acids, touch of wood, small bitter note, fruity aftertaste

September 22, 2023 - Drank right after the Giorgio Primo 2012. The influence of the merlot here is quite apparent (2013 last vintage to include 50% merlot, which is removed after that). More round and velvety, layers of plush fruit coating your mouth. Easy to like, but lacking in character for me to score higher

November 20, 2022 - pnp and tasted blind

red and black fruit, especially berries, peppery aromas, hints of vanilla and oaky aromas.

on the palate really good acidity, but surprinsingly almost no tannins, compact and ready to drink now, nice balanced and refined. but to get more points this needs to have complexity. good tuscan which is rather on the fresh and elegant side, which i really like. medium body. maybe it is because of the more merlot it has in the blend. no opulence as you would expect from a bolgheri wine.

this is long, but in my opinion it hasent much aging potential left, because it has almost no tannins.

no need to decant, drink now
