April 7, 2017 - { #ViniVeri2017 } Pretty classic Kurni at this point, which is to say it's got a lot of fruit, but also a lot of structure behind the fruit. Juicy, full-bodied, with sweet, round tannins, this may well do into a closed phase here pretty shortly. Maybe not as much freshness in this vintage, but that also could have been the serving temp, which was increasing throughout the morning. That said, I'd not hesitate to buy this, but I'd do so with the knowledge I'd be waiting a while (have yet to open 2005, fwiw). recommended
