May 28, 2023 - 42nd Annual Zinfandel Retrospective - the 2015s (R&D's): Blind. Aromas of vanilla, raspberry, currants and herbs. Flavors of raspberry and briary red fruit and pepper. Develops a deli meat aroma, something akin to bologna, that I find distracting. Vanilla, red fruit and pepper finish. (R&D)

October 23, 2022 - In full bloom. Lots of dark fruit, blackcurrant, with cassis and some oak. Good balance and structure. Full bodied and light tannins.

July 15, 2022 - Initial bouquet of a bad party wine, with unexceptional taste. Was about to agree with the more critical of fellow tastingnoters, but after an hour this opened to remind me of the blackberry, spice, and depth that explain why I bought a case of this moderately-priced Zin. Believe this will last beyond 2025.
