October 2, 2021 - Decanted 1/2 hr. Drank over 2 days with day 2 being as good, maybe better, than day 1. Consistent tastes of red & darker fruits. Aged well.

    February 12, 2021 - 10 hour decant....Blueberry, earth, tannin in background.
    Interesting but not incredible.

July 16, 2020 - The wine looks deep ruby colored, with almost garnet at the edges. The legs are slow.

It smells like wet gravel, dark and red fruit, green herbs, violet, dry earth; not super expressive upon first sniff.

It tastes like dark and red fruit, dried herbs and wet gravel. The body is full. The wine has smooth texture, high acidity and medium dusty tannins. The wine finishes medium+ in length with notes of red and dark fruit.

Overall this wine is not incredibly expressive on the nose or palate, nor does it have much complexity but the mouth feel is beautifully balanced. It is silky smooth over my tongue with just the right amount of acidity. It's an enjoyable drink but not anything special.

July 16, 2020 - Method: 64 degrees; decanted for 30 minutes; Cab glass

Look: deep - garnet, a bit lighter towards the rim;medium amount of very slow legs

Nose:strawberry, raspberry, slight dry earth, maybe a little bramble

Palate: raspberry, strawberry, bramble, slight dried herbs; long- finish of rose, pepper, graphite/minterality; dry; full body; medium, smaller, dusty tannin; medium+ acid; maybe low- heat

Overall: Really nice mouthfeel with the full body and solid structure. Mostly red fruit on the palate with added complexity in the finish, but still not too complex overall. Could be a bit better balanced. Overall, it's a very good, well made wine that I enjoy but doesn't especially impress me.

On night 2: The wine is incredibly smooth and nicely supple with no roughness from the tannins. The fruit has gone from red to dark and there's some sort more prominent earthy/savory note, perhaps unsalted olive with a touch of dried herbs (it's somewhat hard to distinguish). No heat at all. Lovely wine with a really great mouthfeel. Raising the score from 89 to 90 points.

January 20, 2019 - PNP. Aromatics are really nice with savory red fruit dominant and some smoked meat notes. Smooth but a tad thin on texture. Peppery finish. Tasty wine but not totally in sync.
