September 18, 2022 - Red, medium intensity. Developed, medium(-) nose. Powder, oak, asphalt. Some hints of stable and stems. In mouth, dry, high(-) acidity, medium(+) gravelly tannins, almost fullbodied. Clean dark fruit, oak as wood boards, root vegetables and some stems. Alcohol almost not felt at 12,5% Good length with fruit and oak. Plus a coarse drying after feel. This is austere energy in a bottle.

Cabernet franc raised 18 month on barrels. No SO2 added anytime during vinification/bottling.

July 5, 2020 - from magnum. bought on release, kept in an underground cellar.

robe - not showing much age to it, flashes of violet , good clarity, surprising not much sediment
nose, a bit muted at first but after a 3o min decant, showing notes of red and blue fruits, very cab franc, no real breton funk. very clean
palate - decent length , very nice balance with blue fruits, clean acidity and dusty tannins. this is not very dense or concentrated in a good way.
I have had this wine on a few occasions and it is starting to reveal itself. We have one more mag in the cellar and I will keep it for another 2 years. All in all, this is a very tasty wine , surely not flashy and the comments around the table was " clean " The only reason I am cautious of keeping this a for some time is due to the missing of sulphites.
it is always a pleasure to drink this. if you are a fan of loire reds, this is a must try. drink over the next 2 to 3 years but no worries about drinking now .

April 19, 2020 - With our resourcED box from Blue Hill at Stone Barns w/ pheasant. Gave this about an hour of air and served with a very slight chill. Nose: dig a pit at the beach in the sand and a long baby back rib roast and maybe throw some grilled peach in there. Palette is multifaceted, dark chocolate covered cherries. A lil funk, cuz it’s sans sulfur, but not overbearing. I can’t speak to the age status of this since it’s my first (and only) bottle, but I enjoyed it.

December 12, 2019 - In the beginning of a long drinking window, but there is so much more to be found with a few more years of patience. Red currants, currant leafs, tobacco and a hint of green bell pepper. Can't wait to have it with some development.
