November 23, 2021 - Black fruit is slightly past its absolute peak, but still "in the window" with lots of earth, plus still reasonably formidable tannins.

August 30, 2020 - No detailed notes. Gamey styling, particular on the nose. Palate remains full, lush, and balanced. Probably about time to drink these up.

January 22, 2017 - Huge nose of cranberry, earth and spice. Big and rugged on the palate with a lot of roughness, some bramble and a note of herbs/vegetal. Dominated by cranberry and earth with nice depth and a long finish. Not at all what I expected as I usually find St. Innocent Anden to be a smooth, almost elegant wine, and this was definitely not. I also did not get a sense of its age as there was still a lot of fruit and not a lot of tertiary flavors. I would have guessed it at no more than about 6-8 years old.

June 3, 2016 - Wow this has come along wonderfully. Drinking perfect. Best Anden I recall tasting. Clean and expressive.

April 29, 2016 - I was fairly underwhelmed by this bottle. At this stage, the aromas are sort of anonymous dark fruit and the typical St Innocent greenness. The palate is broad and fruity, but fairly monolithic still. '04 has always lacked the acidity I prefer, so part of it is the vintage character. Other vintages of St Innocent have started to emerge from the monolithic/green combo (like '02), so I hold out hope. But I didn't find this bottle particularly compelling.
