April 29, 2023 - Guys Port Weekend - LA (Claremont, CA): Amber orange in color with just a slight tinge of pink. Red fruits and some light alcohol on the nose. Rich red fruit with some heat on the palate. Nice sweetness with just a touch of bitterness on the very end of the finish.

Fully mature with a wonderful deep alive palate.

November 24, 2014 - I remember my 14th birthday in 1974 when my mother gave me this bottle (1963 being close to my birth year of 1960 and a much better vintage). So, with a group of friends, I decided this was the birthday to enjoy it. I gave it 8 hours in the decanter. Palest red in the decanter, but tawny in the glass. Quite delicious and, for me obviously, very special.
