  November 28, 2021 - Had 3 2014 Chimney Rock Cabs side by side. The South Hill showed the best with more depth and more flavor. (93) The Arete was just a step behind but my feeling is that Arete needs more age (92). The Clone 7 felt thin and flavors were lacking compared to the other two (89). All three wines can age for awhile.

  September 13, 2021 - Smokey, dark ripe fruit, earthy, leather, tobacco, tannins well integrated but bold. Didn’t have issues woth it opening up quickly. It’s on the front edge of the zone but definitely drinking well now.

  April 12, 2020 - This wine was really tight at opening, and it still wasn’t giving up the goods after an hour in glass. By the end of the night, it had opened up to reveal rich dark fruit complexity with smoke, baking spice, and tobacco, along with nice oak notes and silky tannins.

  May 19, 2018 - Beautiful cab....spicy nose...great legs...wonderful balance....very smooth finish. typical Chimney Rock single vineyard gem
