January 1, 2024 - Great wine produced by Weingut Alzinger located in the Wachau Valley, Austria. The Steinertal vineyard typically produces more mineral wines, which is evident in this bottle. The Smaragd-designated classification is evident in the power, structure and prominent flavors of peach, apricot and pineapple. The acidity is good and provides a great balance. I got the impression that a few more years would be good for this wine.

November 11, 2020 - Had this a few months back. Spectacular wine. Great smaragd texture with just the right acidity, and a mineral backbone that kept everything in balance. Was good with both with and without food.

May 19, 2020 - Delicious. Shows bright grapefruit with an acidic spine but with the body and texture of a nice Smaragd. Super drinkable.
