March 31, 2018 - Deep purple. Very smokey nose with blackberry, and toasted marshmallows. Some really nice black fruit underneath the overdose of chocolatey toasted oak. Too much new oak prevents the fruit and complexities of the Cabernet to really shine.

April 30, 2017 - Hillsborough Visit (Purcelville, VA): Aromas of juicy red currant, red apple peel, some tomato leaf and black pepper. Juicy, spicy palate with lots of red currant and herbal notes, a bit green but not astringent, still shows plump red fruit with lots of herbal tones. Easy, early drinking style.
