September 27, 2023 - Alvin's. Shy nose that would likely pop with a longer decant, bright fruit, juicy-ripe in a Burgundian way, but a bit tart on the finish. Excellent but could probably use another year or three of cellaring.

August 27, 2023 - Unlike the 2016 Bunker Hill, which I would have confused with Burgundy blind, this was a more obviously Oregonian style, the fruit sweeter than what you'd normally find in Burgundy and slightly candied. Enjoyable, just different.

January 2, 2023 - Larry Stone said this wine was sort of like his 'Chambertin'. This is a big, rich Pinot. A bit clenched at first. It needed a2 hour decant. Blue and black fruits. Enjoyed with grilled duck legs and mushroom wild rice. A great match!

September 1, 2022 - Cork Vault Bottle Share 9.1.22 (Charlotte, NC): Decanted for about 45 minutes before sampling and was delicious then and only grew as the evening wore on. Aromatic but not overwhelming nose. Wonderfully balanced on the palate with dark raspberry and boysenberry notes layered over dusty wood and dried leaves. Balanced acidity and smooth texture. A top wine on this evening.

September 24, 2021 - Two hour decant. Deep magenta color. Cherry Jolly Rancher, strawberry, cassis, hydrangea, and dandelion on the nose. Smooth, tongue drying palate, with tart fruit and minerality flowing through. Firm tannins on the medium long finish. This is well built, but more tart/serious than I like.
