July 4, 2020 - 1 hr decant, needed more. Tannins have receded. Dark and concentrated. Blueberry and floral perfume nose. Mocha and coffee dominated the nose early on but faded (got better) with air. Almost as if this had a significant young Merlot component. Blueberry jam, faint black cherry and black raspberry but without the acidic touch I normally get. Touch of herbs and minerals. This was delicious but not outstanding. Seemed in a dumb phase, wanted (and expected more).

Post script 2.5 hrs: everything has melted into a beastly beauty. Big bold and beautiful. All the goodness from above and the flaws have disappeared. Shame on me for doubting you RB! Perfume nose, lovely Eastern Oakville black cherry and black raspberry (with the nice acidic touch), touch of smoke, blueberry no longer dominates but compliments. Upping to 97. Will try bottle 2 in 2024.

June 8, 2018 - Dark rub red robe, nose of blueberry, black cherry, raspberry, florals. Smooth and delicate in the mouth with red and blue fruit predominating. Very good, will improve with some more age. Decanted 2+ hours

June 5, 2018 - Beautiful nose of cherries and ripe black raspberry. Very clean nose and bright fruit. Silky smooth in the mouth and probably the most seamless wine I have ever experienced. More layered bright fruit flavors coat the palate. Very long finish with extremely late arriving supple tannins. With air this tightened up a bit. If drinking now I would say let it rip or give extended air to fully go through its evolution. Hedonistic to say the least.
