November 18, 2018 - A very nice effort from an up and coming wine producer Berene Sauls. The second vintage from the small estate, only 1 300 bottles produced annually. The rubbery nose is not attractive but the wine is an excellent strawberry flavour driven marmalade beverage. Not exactly light Burgundy style but not overpowering new world "Pinot" either, something in between of the two styles, luckily closer to the first one. Will get better with age. An interesting producer and wine, worth testing if one comes across this one.
