March 1, 2020 - Needs an Hour or so to breathe. Very smooth and delicious. Mild for a zin. Ready to drink now.

December 9, 2019 - Typical Paso Robles terroir bouquet and taste. Simple, fruity, some hints of depth that just do not quite present. Improved from when tasted at Eberle winery 2 years ago (rated 85 at that time). Opened up on day 2 and subsequent days, and became more enjoyable - good alone, and with some foods but does not really bring out complexities or complement foods as much as it provides just another pleasant taste along side good food. Would buy again with hope that the hint of complexity and depth would finally blossom in other vintages. Note my Tasting Stories of visits to Paso Robles and this winery.

July 25, 2019 - Eberle makes one of the few Zinfandels from Paso Robles that features tasty fruits without being raisin sweet, enough acidity to be refreshing, includes a dry tannic streak, and is more elegant than heavy. Overall, excellent purity of flavors with finely balanced fruit, acid, and tannin.

September 11, 2018 - Briar fruit and vanilla on nose, 15.1% alc. Nice acidity - nicely balanced and not over extracted. Oak on finish.
