October 21, 2021 - Wine Spectator 40th Anniversary; 10/21/2021-10/23/2021 (Marriott Marquis): Super super young wine. Lots of oak. Love the producer who did a really excellent visit with us a few years ago in Piedmont and know this wine turns into something special with more time (we had the 2001 earlier in the week).

October 22, 2019 - Beautiful but flexing its power. Potent nose of perfurmed, dark berry fruits, floral, liquorice, meaty. Great acid and a long finish. Would love to revisit in 10 years. lovely now.

May 28, 2018 - 70% grapes from the Romirasco wineyard, the rest from Colonello and Cicala.

Intense and powerful with dark core of concentrated plums, wet leaves, light mushrooms, clear animal with raw meat and a touch of cinnamon. Tough and lovely aromas.

Full-bodied, masculine and power from the Romirasco wineyard spreads around with fierce and good mouthfeel. Dark concentrated plums, light prunes, and mushrooms. Great tannin structure with good acid level for the vintage. Youthful and long finish with some coffee and caramel. Wonderful powerhouse of Nebbiolo for the next 15-20 years. 3000 bottles are produced. 96 points.

September 28, 2017 - Tasting with Giacomo Conterno at Poderi Aldo Conterno. The Conterno Riserva, blend from the three vineyards, 70% Romirasco, 15% Cicala and 15% Colonnello. Grapes mixed directly after harvest. Only around 3000 bottles. Ripe but inconsistent vintage, some grapes cooked and some green. Mature feeling, mushrooms, truffels, burnt tones, almonds, tough tannins.

    May 5, 2017 - Smakt hos produsenten.
En helt rå dybde på nesen.
Mørke bær, lakris, krydder, jord, hint av lær og blomster.
Svær og småelegant på samme tid.
    Mange lag her.
Fyldig konsentrert frukt - heftige saker.
    En kraftfull linje hele veien.
    Ung, likevel ganske så tilgjengelig.
    Imponerende lang finish.
Tanninene er selvfølgelig her, men ikke helt feil å drikke nå.
    Rå vin. 95p+
