February 5, 2020 - Took a little time to open up so I think I might give it a couple more years. But once it did, such great fruit, a little dusty with nice acidity to keep it fresh. Delicious.

January 20, 2020 - Dusty, dark blueberry fruit with chocolate, violet, and wet stones. A hint of sour cherry. Black pepper on the finish. The restrained nature of this wine reminds me of Bordeaux, although the flavor profile reminds me a little of Rioja and a little of Rutherford dust. Everything is in good balance. This is a very pretty wine, but I think it would have been better with additional bottle age. Tannins are still strong and everything just seems a little tight. I’m a fan, though, and just wish I had more for continued aging. Best in Big Bordeaux glass with plenty of air. Good match with steak, though I enjoyed sipping it on its own the best. Very good.
