September 4, 2023 - Well, after this long wait, and understanding the lignated stems thing, not sure that this Barolo is actually doing it for me. Kinda just a little too funky in the not Barolo direction.

March 4, 2023 - Not much going on besides a fine nose.

January 7, 2022 - this is a wine that was simply ruined by new oak. both the nose and palate wreaked of new oak and buried the beautiful varietal characteristics of the great nebbiolo grape. it's that simple.............surprising how many people try these modern (new oak ) style baroli and don't even know what they are smelling and tasting........duh? it's OAK juice!

June 26, 2020 - Tasted next to the '13 Mosconi, and I found them to be nearly identical. Had an odd herbal aroma and also something herbal and somewhat raw on the palate. Would I guess it to be a Barolo? Not sure. Would I guess it to be Nebbiolo? Dunno. I am intrigued and would like to try some of the rest of the lineup, perhaps bottles with my age. For this wine I suggest hold.

October 29, 2018 - At Tasting Event (short TNs)...Oddity, witchcraft! The nose was amazing, the taste is nice right now and the flavors just hit you like Popeye (the sailor man). It has a lot of good going on which I believe will balance and form more seamless with time. This wine (hence witchcraft joke) is intentionally made different by racking a few days before pressing for oxygen to come in as explained to me, but so much more to it than that I am researching now about Marco Parusso and all his different techniques! Learn something new everyday, and now a new wine to add to the cellar as it is quite intriguing. Cannot wait to fully test this carefully crafted oddity and determine which food will pair best as seems a food wine. 92+
