  April 16, 2024 - Dark berries on the nose, ruby brick, good legs, well integrated Oak, still some good forest fruit flavours, medium legnth. Had thought I'd kept it too long, but very happy with where it is. Enjoyed over 3 nights.

  May 4, 2022 - PNP. Evidence of seepage on the cork but the cork wasn’t brittle. Dark and brooding in the glass. Not very expressive out of the gate on the nose - could be the lack of air and cellar temperature at this evaluation point. After an hour the nose exhibited some of the black fruit from the palate.
  
  On the palate, dark fruits and pepper full bodied. This one is 15.5 alcohol but doesn’t reflect the heat. Fairly balanced acidity and tannins aren’t overbearing.

  July 14, 2019 - I usually really like this wine and think it is best consumed when it is young. This one had mellowed quite a bit and didn't have the youthful exuberance and spiciness of past vintages and I attest it to having more age on it. But still a solid value.

  May 1, 2018 - Definitely a different taste profile than your typical Cab or Malbec or whatever. Maybe a bit smokey /astringent? Interesting more than delicious. Better with food (steak).
