  April 28, 2017 - Medium ruby robe, nose of dusty blackcurrant, leather, tea, raspberry. Very smooth but thin on the palate, blue fruit acid with stewed plum. A few years too far gone for my taste.

  December 30, 2015 - Took to a restaurant, where it was popped and poured. Had next to the 2013 version of the Fortuna Block. Did not take formal notes, but this was the better wine on this night. Showing a bit of its age, but still really a lovely wine with some life remaining. Plenty of secondary flavors (black tea stood out to me) and a well integrated finish.

  October 27, 2013 - Had with dinner at Patina in LA. Tasted after decant. Hitting on all cylinders. Aroma was tar, liquorish, anise, maybe bit of leather or black olive - almost just wanted to inhale all night. Mouthfeel great with balance and long finish. Too bad not made any more.

  October 31, 2009 - Nice Cali Cab. Mid-weight and balanced with a moderately sweet core of fruit.

  May 17, 2009 - Popped/poured. Comes across almost a bit green on the nose, but that turns into a sweet leather and spice on the palatewith decent fruit, finishing quite tannic. Into the decanter, will check back later.
