  September 28, 2018 - Nice wine, nice acidity with earthy tones typical of a Malbec. Enjoyed my first bottle of AR, and excited to try some of the other locations.

  May 15, 2018 - Brawny, and definitely a "bold" wine from the Phinney portfolio, There's nothing subtle about this big boy, with a earthy, almost claylike plum and dark cassis mouthfeel, with mouth smacking tannins and subtle acidity. While I do think that it pushes the envelope to the edge, it stop ds just short of being such a behemoth that it falls apart. I have high hopes for this wines future, thinking it will evolve to a rewarding version of a plush right bank bord in a minimum of 5-7 years, as long as it can hold it together long enough to get there. In the meantime if you're drinking these, definitely decant and heavily aeriate.

  February 18, 2018 - The Malbec is adding an interesting spice component, somewhat of an black pepper meets paprika, while the tannins are melding nicely with the bright fruits. Dare I say I'm finding something to enjoy in a southern hemisphere Malbec?
