I guessed older and G-max because of the concentration. Saline, stony and discreet lemon zest. 95

June 30, 2023 - Still so young, 2016 Morstein is thunderously energetic, massively concentrated and immensely powerful. It’s absolutely rocking after 3 hours in the decanter. Next time, I’d like to start it that way. Its aromatics are layered with stone fruit, lemon-lime, fresh green herbs and wet stone. The palate is juicy, intense and infinitely mineral with a seriously long saline finish. Such an incredible expression of Riesling.

This was an off bottle. watery, less precision than usually. Missing the power and length. 92

March 28, 2021 - This was bought off a restaurant list because the price was just way too good to pass up. This was intense and deeply aromatic right away Lime, peaches, green apples, white fruits, all sorts of white and spring-time flowers, lemon drops, all being supported by a major mineral base that permeates within the glass. The Medium bodied feel is deft, refined, and deep with a vibrancy to the tones and racy, high acidity. While this can certainly age, it's also a stunning GG Riesling right now.

February 13, 2021 - Brings an intense kaleidoscope of aromas that is currently the wine's highlight. Palate is youthfully tight and builds depth/length with air. Should improve with cellar time.
