January 24, 2024 - PnP, served blind. Appearance: Clear, medium ruby-garnet. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity with developing aromas of cranberry, plum, licorice, black pepper, and black olive. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, medium softened tannins, medium intensity, medium body, 14.0% abv with developing flavors of cranberry, raspberry, black pepper, and olive with a medium+ finish.

    Balance: Excellent-Outstanding
    Length: Excellent
    Intensity: Very good
    Complexity: Excellent

An excellent mid-range St Joseph Syrah drinking well upon opening today with superb balance, nearing or at peak - drink now or over next 2-4 years.

October 8, 2023 - Vinetasters: Young Northern Rhône (Chicago, IL): Served double blind. Sweet and deep purple nose. Quite inky dark. Somehow more structural and saline than fruit, despite the colour and the nose. Modest tannins, probably around 7-10 years old. New World Rhone blend? My 6th, group's 6th.

August 28, 2023 - Beautiful, complex and rustic bouquet with some mineral impressions as well. Same on the palate, beautiful acidity and round, almost spicy tannin. Good length and complexity. For me personally the wine of the evening.

August 2, 2023 - No formal note, this was run through a vinturi to loosen it up a little bit. Great character and nuance here with solid structure built on both acidity and tannins, with a longer finish, good stuff.
