April 25, 2021 - Drank over 5 nights. It maintained a beautiful balance of crisp minerality and rounded fruit the whole time (after night one in the fridge). Beautiful and age worthy!

February 14, 2020 - Another excellent wine from this estate. 70% Chardonnay and 30% Auxerrois. The richness is balanced by good acidity and while it is unusual to have a Chardonnay from Alsace, it works really well plus this is good value.

February 10, 2020 - Another great wine from Zind-Humbrecht. this is another example that shows how this winery excels at every level. 70% chardonnay, 30% Auxerrois, this has some richness and intensity that made for a really enjoyable aperitif but will also be very food friendly. Zind-Humbrecht continues to impress as one of the best wineries in the world

March 14, 2017 - 2015 Zind Humbrecht? Current gold indeed (Domaine Zind Humbrecht): A fairly straightforward and pleasing dry white.

March 11, 2017 - A visit to Zind Humbrecht (Alsace, France): Great to try this perennial value wine from 2015. As I said somewhere else, it looks like 2015 is a great vintage, at least for my tastes in Alsace. This is 60% Chardonnay, 30% Auxerois, and 10% Pinot Blanc. Light gold, almost clear in color. The nose is tight. With some swirling, some lemony notes come out along with a bit of cashew cream and minerals. More open at this point on the palate with a really nice lemon tart quality. A bit of bitter lemon peel on the finish in a good way. Overall, this is still tight and I presume recently bottled. It has a lovely texture and for around $20, this is a great value.
