March 29, 2024 - This BdM had the misfortune of being drunk the same night as a 2018 Saxum James Berry red. All by itself it would have been great, but it was constantly being compared to the James Berry which was unfortunate.

Very graceful nose, nice balance, and well-integrated tannins. Hard to judge all the fruit notes because of the James Berry. Everything was nice but the boldness of the Saxum just overpowered the nuances of the Baricci.

Lesson learned. When drinking multiple bottles at the same meal. Make sure they are more compatible.

March 24, 2024 - pretty nose, decent balance, imho this wine could have been great - the terroir - but is ruined in the cellar by too much intervention

March 19, 2023 - quite nice, still in it's prime

October 5, 2020 - Beautiful wine, the balance is perfect. It`s drinking quite well right now, which is a little surprising, though very welcome. Great classic nose without any noticeable oak influence and showing fine complexity. The palate is refined, balanced and layered. This is outstanding and should age well. From the finest section of the Montosoli vineyard.

March 30, 2019 - Purple red hue, moderate fruity nose. Drinks well, strong first taste - red fruits, cherries, hint of mandarin. Finish is smooth, dry, earthy, nice. Medium linger. The 2012s are drinking well and this is a great example.
