November 19, 2004 - Neal Martin’s Bordeaux Olympics (Restaurant La Trouvaille, London): Lacking fruit, this is a bit corked, yet I force myself to taste it. Not too bad on the palate actually: maybe the acidic wet cardboard and damp leaves on the nose are something other than TCA. But definitely missable in my book.

August 20, 2004 - Dinner at Potvins. Mark graciously opened this for dinner with NY strips, grilled eggplant and tomato, basil and buffalo motzellela (sp?) salad.
Cedar notes after 30 minutes in the decanter. The flavor seemed to disapate quickly and the fruit was faded sooner than I would have preferred. I might add that the cellar conditions were not optimate. Still a nice bottle on a beautiful Friday in late summer!
