December 16, 2020 - Great with ribs
If you like your ribs wet, don't use your good wine glasses. Wife gets angry when the get all smeared with sauce and then you drop and and break one. Happened to a friend.
Seriously....this really is great with smoked baby back ribs. Has alot of flavors going on and stands up to even some of the spicier sauces. -

Apparently I neglected to inform our 2 guests they were limited to two 4 ounce pours. -

July 8, 2020 - Drank this at Tonny's Restaurant last night for a wine dinner. Theme of the evening: Wines from USA.
Purple in colour with notes of crushed pepper, capsicum, dark chocolate and a sweeter than usual finish for red wines. Had this wine months ago and some more time in the bottle has done it some more good. A bit more matured than I recalled and presenting a more complete profile and a more likable wine. -

November 15, 2019 - Brought this to my university best friend's place for lunch. She cooked steak with mash potatoes and corn with carrots.
A very elegant and well balanced wine with subtle notes of plums, black coffee, grounded pepper, chocolate and small, black berries.
Rounded and smooth with the alcohol level a little on the high side. On the whole a wholesome and enjoyable wine.
