July 9, 2018 - After two mediocre bottles of the 2004 I finally hit the jackpot. We pnp'd at dinner. The nose was dark fruit and chocolate. The palate was plum, dark cherry and chocolate. The finish was long, full and smooth. Someone else had commented that is was on the sweet side. I did find the sweetness but I attribute it the combo of chocolate and cherry on the palate.

February 27, 2018 - Still good, slightly sweet

November 12, 2017 - Slightly pruny but with deep flavors that finished strong. PNP so may have needed some air.

June 14, 2017 - After all the Switchback Wines that I have consumed over the years this is the first bottle that i had that was barely good. I had also given a bottle to my daughter and she had the same impression so I cannot blame the bottle or the storage. It had dark fruit on the nose, the palate was nondescript, the finish brought out nothing special - just an average bottle of wine. To me after adoring SWR wines for years it was a disappointment - again not a bad wine just nothing special.

December 19, 2016 - Nice wine, rich and dark, somewhat flabby but drinking well.
