December 23, 2018 - A soft, clean Soave, well-made and flavorful along the lines of a tart peach. Thank God we have good Soave like this to counterbalance the too many prosaic Pinot Grigios and the plethora of over-oaked and overly fruity American Chardonnays.

August 20, 2018 - MNB: Neutral Whites II (Home (Noe st)): (blind)
    Medium minus gold color.
    Dry.
Neutral nose - light browned bosc pear, browned apple, dried Meyer lemon citrus. Slight bruised floral nature as well. Mild oxidation from age. Interesting hard-to-place herbal/savory/mushroomy quality.

Dry, medium plus body, 13.5% alcohol, medium plus acid, light phenolic bitterness.

    Laterals:
    - Aged gruner - shouldn't be this neutral.
    - Chablis - the alcohol is a bit high.
    - Italian - soave/pinot grigio - this is an aged example, which is unusual.
    - Macon Chardonnay - maybe?
    - Savennieres - acid isn't high enough.

Closest thing is Savennieres from a warm year with some age - 2010 Savennieres. Good quality. $40.

    2016 Soave Classico.
    Weird.

July 23, 2018 - Wine Dojo - Week 19 - The Grand Tour: Northern Italy (Elliot's Place): Tasted Blind

    A: Medium gold
N: Peach stone, wet stone, green almond, Elliot spotted Petroleum and i didn't get anything like that until it warmed up. There was a kerosene whiff for certain, salt. Youthful
P: Dry, medium acid, medium body, medium (+) intensity and medium finish. Medium (-) alcohol (12%)I wavered between dry and off-dry but it was dry with some RS still evident.
C: One should be able to hold these for 5+ years but the acidity is a worry. Not high enough acidity to guarantee freshness. I didn't get the same level of wax that i got in the first. BLIC? Good quality wine this but not complex and more fruit to balance the stoniness from the volcanic soil would be better.
