August 10, 2023 - Great Syrah at a perfect stage of evolution. Dark fruit, pepper, spice, long finish.

July 9, 2023 - Tom Dehlinger makes great Syrah and deserves more credit for it. Dark black fruit, tar, great mouthfeel, medium finish.

2d day wine opened up more with more complexity. It did well overnight with Argon and frig, a good sign. Confession: Other than Swan syrahs I have almost no experience with New World syrahs, don't know what to expect, only experience is with Northern Rhones. Only reason I made this entry to was to offer "too soon". -

August 21, 2018 - Notes from day 2. Wowser, this was an unexpected surprise. Wonderful balance of blue/black fruit, white pepper, spice, and leather. Terrific minerality and long finish. In a great spot right now. Great QPR at $26. Wish I bought more...
