September 30, 2023 - After 20-min: straightforward, powerful fruit, cherry and blackberry balanced but not integrated fine-grained tannin and acidity. A bit hot.
Second day: much better. More integrated fruit, tart acid and grippy tannins. Additional flavors of licorice and leather coming through. Still very hot. Increased score to 89 limited by alcohol and suboptimal component integration. Recommend at least 2-hr decant. To consume with food.1 person found this helpful Comment -

October 4, 2019 - Had this during our Tuscany trip with friends 9/28 to 10/5.
A built to age wine which did appear its b st tonight. Tight and structured but hides the fruit.

January 17, 2019 - Starting to be a little tougher on my scores.
Nose is potent fruit with loads of dark berries and acidity.
Woody and tannic BlackBerry with a mouth pursing acidity and a tannic dryness that sucks the moisture out. Some licorice and minerality is present. It is a loud wine with a consistent profile that does not soften with time.2 people found this helpful Comment -
