March 1, 2024 - Dunkles Goldgelb, dezente Perlage. Offene Nase, top komplex, dezente Oxidatoon; Apfel, Aprikose, Nüsse, Quitte, Zitruszesten, Rauch, kühler Stein, ein Gedicht. Dichter Gaumen, top Säure, wunderbar gereift jedoch nicht müde wirkend, der Wein hat Struktur, Balance und zeigt im Abgang eine grandiose Länge. Grosses Champagner-Kino.
January 12, 2024 - LBC0220, 10 FEVRIER 2020. Needs significant air but what a beauty, rich, mouthful with great cut. Light apple cider and so much volume. 94+
January 11, 2024 - Disgorged 27th of January, 2017. has some red fruits on the nose along with ripe apple, peach skin and chalk. The palate is intense and vinous. There's citrus rind tartness and such great presence. The finish is super saline and drives on and on.
December 9, 2023 - Houze's Wedding; 12/9/2023-12/10/2023: 2 Fevrier 2021, classically Ambonnay, baked apple, fine mousse. 93-94
October 28, 2023 - La Fête du Champagne Gala (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Small gala glass. Slightly oxidative while wonde4rfully rich and complex. Very good depth. A Selosse even I could enjoy.
August 1, 2023 - No note made. Degorged 9 February 2018. Showed in a lovely oxidative style.
June 5, 2023 - Perfect storage. Still so young for my taste, wish I would have saved this longer. 2015 disgorgement and likely 08-based. 93+
April 23, 2023 - Bienvenue a Champagne; 4/20/2023-4/29/2023 (Les Crayeres, various restaurants, Les Avises and a many wonderful producers): Always a treat to get to drink a Selosse and of course this time was no different. This is one of my favorites of the Lieux Dit. It’s got the spice from the Pinot. Needed time to open in the glass. But a beautiful wine and just interesting.
April 16, 2023 - Selosse Lieux Dit Tasting: Light oxidative. Piercing acidity with very youthful vibes. This btl especially got much better with air and upon revisit. Really good by the end of the night.
