Community Tasting Notes 12

November 23, 2023 - Drinking very well now. Medium plus body with notes of cherry, fig and earth. Well balanced but highly concentrated at the same time. I could probably rate this anywhere from 91-95 perhaps depending on food pairing, glassware, etc. It did pretty well with Thanksgiving dinner.

April 13, 2023 - Grenache dominates the blend, good balance, well aged and drinking well now.

December 24, 2022 - Opened this up for Christmas Eve gift wrapping and food prep. Picked at the last minute so popped and poured still chilled, didn't take long to open up but I'm sure a 30 minute decant would have helped. Christmas spice (maybe projecting here) and cherry fruit aromas. Medium plus body and opacity, expected a more fuller wine, but this is balanced on the palate, definitely a lot of Grenache influence, with lots of acidity, lively, long finish. A great wine.

July 28, 2021 - WWC - JL (FWC): Tasted blind - Deep purple in the glass; smoky and a little hot on the nose; red fruits on the nose and palate. Guessed a new world grenache based wine, as it didn't have the earthiness or funk of southern Rhone, and didn't taste like a Spanish garnacha to me.

September 28, 2020 - Wine was much richer and more accessible after a day on the coravin.
