November 25, 2023 - Red fruit profile with nice minerality. Nose has a bit of balsam in addition to the fruit. Tannins very much in background and acidity is medium.

September 23, 2023 - Full and very minerally nose. Black fruit and well integrated oak. Ink, cedar and chocolate. Very nice and complex.
Fullish palate. Pure, clean and tannic. Black fruit and liquorice. Very minerally. A bit rubber reductive finish. Long but lacks extra layers and some complexity.
Can probably gain a point or two with further cellaring. -

June 28, 2023 - Like all Alvaro Palacios wines, this needs time in the bottle and a robust decant to fully express the wine. Drank at RBC Bend - new Spanish focused steak house - with friends. Decanted 2hr before we approached it, but tested along the way. At 2h this wine was in fine shape. Old vine Garnacha dominated, 5% carinena. Concentrated and powerful at the outset. Lots of fruit up front and then the finish - long....... Value for money, this wine is amongst the best Priorat options.

August 13, 2021 - Bright purple in colour, with lifted aromas of sour black cherry, ripe red plum, raspberry, and some freshly picked bilberries. Wonderful intensity complexed with black olive tapenade, baking spice, mineral (and new printer paper!)
A bright fresh acidity on entry with medium body, youthful and vibrant. Intense mid-palate core with mineral, white pepper and some flesh underneath. Fine but puckering tannins give structure to this poised focussed wine that has a lovely gait and flow to it. Long finish. Needs lots of time to open up further in bottle. Great potential!1 person found this helpful Comment
