October 20, 2023 - Very nice. Well balanced - powerful, but still fresh dark fruit and med+ acidity showing through. Enjoyable length on the finish. Really great with an orichietti con salsiccia.

April 24, 2023 - Multi hour decant, this has everything you look for in a Taurisi, with rich fruit and savory elements in a highly structured wine that offers complexity.

July 29, 2022 - Fairly close to my previous note, though this was a bit more knit together. The tannins had softened a bit, the fruit felt more in balance with the brooding, darker elements. I hestitate to say it was 'lighter', but it certainly felt more approachable on the palate. Delicious with wood pigeon.

July 5, 2021 - The wine is a bit unidimensional in terms of character complexity, in spite of it’s placement in the Italian varietal holy trinity, amazingly youthful, tannic and flavorful, with visible evidence of highly extracted color. It may well achieve it’s viability window of 2030, per the Wine Enthusiast’s prediction.

March 14, 2021 - Decanted for 3 hours and showed black cherries, prunes, dark chocolate, dried flowers, coal dust, and tobacco, Deep and intense, there is also an elegance here despite mouth coating tannins. Fragrant, complex, and full of character. It really delivers on the value spectrum and will be with us for a very long time.
