February 18, 2024 - Cork soaked to 20%. From a warmer than textbook cellar. Garnet with slight orange hue in thin layers. Medium intense nose of red fruits, tobacco, smoke and maybe, not sure about that, some horsy element due to brett, that I haven't encountered in previous bottles. However this bottle nearly 5 years since my last bottle of this, shows that it still withstands time, but also that my previous estimation of drinking window may be a bit optimistic, though this bottle was stored since release at higher than textbook temperatures, I would advice to drink up now even optimal stored bottles, if there are still bottles out there. Somehow this winery has disappeared from the radar in Europe or maybe even the world, which is given the performance of this wine, a sad thing. 5/12/16/7 P.S. The horsy element vanished with some airtime, without a decant.

November 3, 2012 - Excellent merlot. Deep candied cherry and chocolate fruit profile. Moderate oaking, but in balance. Tannins all but faded, but velvety smooth. Finish is pleasantly acidic. Loved it.
