March 5, 2022 - Notes of dark cherry, tobacco, clove and cola. Prominent tannins and acidity in a nice balance.

June 4, 2021 - Still pretty young, but it‘s starting to open up a little. Beautifully pure, fresh and full of energy, the 2013 San Rocco is combining the richness and depth of this great Cru with the freshness and tension of the vintage.
Notes of dark cherries, some licorice, crushed violets and lavender, some tar, spices, tobacco, menthol and black tea. It‘s pretty full-bodied, but is bursting with energy due to its high acidity and medium-high tannin that is very good quality and perfectly silky, while being present. Long finish with plenty of complexity starting to build up. A fantastic San Rocco from this classic vintage.

December 17, 2018 - Remains astringently tannic but the beautifully extracted fruit is starting to emerge. For want of a better word, the remarkable precision of these 2013 Barolos will I think mark the 2013's as a particularly great vintage.
