March 5, 2021 - One of the first wineries I visited on my first trip to Napa six years ago. A nice tasting room in Yountville with a laid back feel, nice people, and fun wines. We don’t buy from them anymore as tastes have changed, but their wines always bring back good memories.

TF4 is their high end cab blend of the lineup. I’ve had many vintages of this wine but I think this is the best. Only gave this a short decant before it was enjoyed with dinner. Sweet, ripe and speaks to warm vintage Napa cab from the valley floor. It’s mostly purple to the core in the glass, and jumps out with notes of mulberry, boysenberry, cocoa shavings and Mexican vanilla. The fruit feels as though it was freshly squeezed in to the glass with bay leaf. This seems to be in a good drinking window where I imagine it will hang out for a solid 3-5yrs.

September 1, 2019 - 2nd day notes. Today it is less deserving than yesterday due to the unbalanced mouthfeel which is simply tight.

Violet and floral aromatics today still. On the palette the wine delivers tannin laden experience of really blue blueberry fruit and tannin dominant mid palette and finish. Hard to believe I had this opened 24 hours and this is still closed, in fact more than yesterday . Waiting till tomorrow.

August 31, 2019 - Loved the violet approach to this Napa Cab. I believe that the note of CT member MFLESH capture my notes perfectly. So I reiterate those as if mine.

August 24, 2019 - Coravinned a glass of this. This is a dark and inky wine with a really nice bouquet that rolled out of the glass while pouring. Could smell violets, black and blue fruit. Entry is dark and rather full bodied. There was a roasted black and blue character to this one. Almost a cinnamon and pie spice in the middle and a purple character to the finish. If served blind, I might have called this a cab with some PS or 10-20 percent Malbec because it has that kind of character. Finishes with some toasted chewy cedar tannins but if tasted a couple of years ago it probably would have been more astringent. Very enjoyable wine.
