February 1, 2023 - Not much to add from previous tasting note. Fantastic Bierzo and perfectly balanced. Great red fruit and secondaries, prob the most complete Mencia wine I have tried. I should have bought more of this. Still has time to go as well.

May 22, 2021 - Medium ruby with minimal bricking at rim
Medium plus aromas of cherry/ pomegranate and plum with florals of lilac and underlying blood, leather and Asian spice with moderate minerality
Medium body with palate of bing cherry and red plum with delicate florals
Medium plus acidity and medium plus tannins which are quite well integrated. Finish is medium to long.
Really drinking well now but the fruit/ acid and tannin are there to give this another five yrs easy.
This has to be one of my favorite Bierzo - much more complexity and finesse and less brawn here than the norm

May 11, 2020 - Nose has blue fruit (acai), clay/earth. Palate has black and blue fruit (a little brambly, and maybe pomegranate), less earth than the nose but some, a little ripe and generic but pretty good quality. M+ acid, M+ body, M- or lower tannin. ~6/10

December 20, 2018 - One sexy Mencia. Almost syrah like. Black plum, cedar, black pepper, bitter chocolate. So smooth.
