October 5, 2023 - Dense purple black hue. Interesting nose of brown spices of cinnamon, cocoa, typical meat, black olives, not much fruit. On the palate more brown spices, a sweetness at first but more towards lingonberries, quite short, more tar, than tannins. Top heavy, the alcohol pushes through from the start. As three hour passes, it picks up and connects on the palate. Quite a package, not the most delicate, but quite a bit to unfold. Day 2 it folds out a bit on the palate with smoked fruit and coffee

March 13, 2023 - ABV 14.5%. Better showing than ‘15 Gripa SJ. Soft and round tannins, good mouthfeel and still a couple of years away from reaching plateau. Despite higher ABV, no hint of alcohol at finish, pretty good balance, just lacking a bit of energy to be really exciting.

June 9, 2018 - Drunk at Bocuse's restaurant at collonges au mont d'or on the sommelier's recommendation. Nice texture, very well made. Not very complex but went very well with the fillet steak Rossini and black truffle sauce.
