May 18, 2017 - Tasted next to the 1997. Slightly less evolved in colour. More concentration on the nose, smoky, spicy, dark fruit, minerality. On the palate more grip and structure, but also lots of ripe, generous fruit. Very mineral and fresh with impressive length. Excellent. Drink or keep. 92-94

December 20, 2016 - Brought to final wine group dinner of the year. Showed well. Two bottles left

May 17, 2016 - Not as good as the Crianza at this point. Still very young and does not have the same development. Quality is there, but not ready yet.

November 29, 2015 - Elyssa's 100 day celebration (Table at 7): From magnum. Popped and poured. Drank over 2.5 hours.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour with garnet rim. Legs.
Nose initial mustiness which blew off, medium intensity, with aromas of red cherries, red plums, earth, Bordeaux-like graphite, slight licorice and vanilla. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol, smooth medium+ tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of red cherries, red and black plums, earth, graphite, slight licorice and vanilla. Medium+ finish. Brighter and comparatively fresher character, but not as much depth and richness as the superb 1994.
Very good quality nonetheless. Drink up. Unlikely to improve much further with age. 100% Tempranillo. Combination of French and American oak barrels.
