July 27, 2023 - A full bodied alternative for a balanced Napa Cab, with a pleasant fruit profile, some well intergrated tannins and a touch of salinity. At $105 this is a better deal than what Napa tends to offer, but it’s just not that special. 91 pts.

December 2, 2022 - I agree with the reviewer who said that was pretty reserved. An hour decant and it was still pretty tight. With the structure this has; that's a compliment. I'm excited to see this reveal itself further in the years to come.

Blackberries, plums, black cherries, tea leaves, tobacco, smoked wood, dried green herbs, dried porcini mushroom on the nose. Full bodied, medium acid and medium tannin; flavors consistent with the aromas. This is still developing. Hold for 5+ more years

June 3, 2022 - One hour decant. Very deep dark ruby magenta color. Fig, blackberry, wild strawberry, birch beer, Earl Grey tea, and subtle dried mushroom on the nose. Smooth, dry palate, with soft, satiny, mouth coating acidity. Firm, full, medium intensity tannins on the longish finish.

April 19, 2022 - Much, much more reserved that the 2013 which was astonishing. Lets give it years and years. Will not assign points presently.

September 14, 2019 - From a very well decanted bottle to open more of the wine. Once the new oak aromas of roasted coffee, cocoa and toffee/caramel give way, there are beautiful, pure aromas of blue and BlackBerry, graphite, grilled thyme. It is medium bodied on the palate with lifting acidity but an array of flavor unfurls through the mid palate and finish. Cocoa nib, toasted graham cracker and almost a salty minerality open up to preserved Blackberry, blueberry compote, black cherry and black plum. There is a floral note like violets and acacia. Lingers on dried berry and toffee. Best in 7-10 years.
