April 12, 2024 - Decanted for three hours, optimal after four. Well-balanced with seamlessly integrated tannins. A palate of black raspberry, black plum, and blueberry mixed with cigar box nuances. Aromas feature menthol and eucalyptus. The color has matured to a soft, dull ruby, shifting lighter from dark purple. Exceptionally long finish, lingering for minutes.

September 18, 2022 - 45 mins open time. Green pepper, velvety blue and black fruit, slate and pencil lead. Really well balanced with low acidity, some spice and black pepper.

June 4, 2021 - Still could use a little more time in the bottle but drinking very well now with about an hour of air. Roasted herb aromas. Dark fruits, licorice, mint and chocolate on the palate with medium+ tannins. A 94 that now, still needs to come together a little more to push it to a 95+. Enjoyed with grilled ribeye.

February 22, 2019 - Ripe, rich , supple, deep, concentrated and filled with dark, black fruits, licorice, vanilla and chocolate. The wine is sweet and lush, as well as fresh. This can be enjoyed now, or aged.

July 14, 2018 - A little different from the reserve, yet just as stunning. Similar profile, with some vanilla and the tannnins are velvety. Very long and not quite ready - whereas the Reserve is drinking rather well. Classic in every way. Drink 2022 - 2037.
