May 28, 2022 - Black fruited, meaty notes, touch of bacon even. Some herbal notes and olive paste. Northern Rhone meets CA. Good acidity and some tannins. Drinking well now, but should drink well for 3-4 more yrs. Terrific QPR. Cool weather CA Syrah can be such a delight!

March 13, 2018 - Dark berry, roasted meat and even a hint of bacon make an appearance here. It’s clearly California, but not over the top. Ripe and balanced, the fruit is held in check by firm tannins. This looks to have good mid-term cellaring potential, as there is good depth and proper balance. Very much a pleasure to drink.
