April 10, 2024 - drinking well, this bottle seemed a bit less 'big' than one a couple years ago. Well balanced, structure not intrusive, lingering finish. Better than the last bottle, but I don't get the sense there's a lot of upside.

March 12, 2023 - Mature and very enjoyable. Big with dark savory fruit and some earth. Good balance.

October 14, 2022 - fairly tight and restrained upon opening, it came around with about 45 minutes of air.....fairly big for a pinot, dark, good balance, decent blend of fruit and earthy/savory notes....90-ish

August 20, 2021 - Big nose, darker than many PN. Tart cherry and strawberry fruit, brambly with a serious peppery bite. I found fruit to be expressive, but not overwhelming. Equally good day 2. Smooth, but still challenges you with the pepper bite.

January 2, 2021 - Darker than your typical pinot, which I guess is expected for Santa Maria. Seemed very green at first but opens up nicely. Gamy, forest floor, and cherry dominate the nose and carries to the palate where a slight strawberry and granite note can be found. Velvety finish with an oddly persistent tannic tail.
