September 24, 2023 - Showing very well, med. body, good verve, not overripe, nice presence for a village--very pretty, slight tingly note with med. concentration. Perfect with oysters and seafood at Walrus and Carpenter w/K

January 3, 2019 - Needs time to open up, but is also probably too young all together. Lime zest, crushed stone and lemon juice are the theme song here. Opens its gates to tropical hints on the palate, but still retains its homogeneous minerality trait. What I don't like about this wine is that it's too representative of NW Chardonnay rather than a Burgundy. The weight and bitterness are jammed together with the high alcohol (even after a long time in the glass), giving an impression of a cheap wine. Would like to try it in the future again, but I'm not ecstatic.

November 15, 2017 - Consistent with the vintage, this was rather soft in the entry, rounded, with light tropical notes, ripe melon, some yellow peach, and a clear dose of oak. I thought it was NW blind. Nice enough, but after tasting 20-30 2015 white burgs a while back, it's just too ripe a vintage. A bit flashy now, I would drink within the next few years. The Stony Hill Chard same year was very crisp, elegant, mineral. A complete reversal of character!

November 1, 2017 - Tasted blind. Halloween night at Chateau Davyd.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of pungent wet stones minerality, sweet yellow florals, honeyed lemon drops, some toasty almond nut, cream peach. Developing.
On the palat, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of honeyed lemon drops, wet stones minerality, white peach, pear, almond nut, cream. Long finish.
As it warmed up with more air, the creamy oak and fatty roundness became more apparent.
Very good quality. I was actually guessing A Puligny-Montrachet lesser 1er Cru from a ripe vintage. Wow more oak and richness than I would expect from a usual Village wine. Definitely aided by the strong vintage also. Room for positive development over the next 3-4 years.

August 10, 2017 - Very "just barely ripe" tropical notes of melon, pineapple core, even hard mango/guava. Not as precise as other vintages, slightly rounded, enjoyable but lacking depth and complexity. Stick with the reds--this was not worth the price tag. Try again in 3 years to see how/if it ages.
Nonetheless, this was delightful served cold on a hot summer evening with grilled bell peppers and rockfish. 89+
