February 24, 2023 - Decanted 4 hours. Medium light ruby, long very slow legs, on 👃 peppercorn, graphite, wet forest floor, ripe cherries, nectarine. Dry, highly acidic, light/medium structure, grippy tannins, juicy cherries, strawberries and ground pepper, medium burn on throat. Felt a bit tight even after a long decant but aromatic and delicious now.

June 20, 2019 - Tasting @Paitin, winery of the b&b we're staying at. A riserva version, made exclusively from their older vines (65+ years in age) and only in exceptional vintages.
A lot of fruity complexity but already very well balanced overall. Earthy, leathery notes but not too much. Same as with the tannic structure which makes for a very well balanced red.
Near perfect and their best Barbaresco I've tasted.
