January 14, 2022 - $100+ Blind Tasting (Bin 75 Alpharetta, GA): Darker ruby; given 3+ hours of air and this is still impenetrable, flinty pencil eraser reduction and a somewhat chemical quality to this, very new, intense cherry and kirsch, raspberry galore, rhubarb, lots of spice, talc, mineral, a refinement and elegance with a Burgundian edge but so much power still at this stage; hold on to remaining bottles for at least 5 more years.

February 10, 2020 - Barrel tasting at Lucien le Moine with Mounir (Beuane): Double blind but known to be 2015. Intense red fruited nose with clay tones. Round and lush red fruit that is delicious. Plenty of spice throughout. Long bright finish. Very red fruited so I went to Chambolle. Oof - blind tasting is tough! 93-94

June 27, 2019 - Lucien Le Moine Cellar Visit and Tasting with Mounir Saouma (Beaune): 100% Grenache. All black fruit with slightly sweet spice and roasted meat note. Dense, yet certainly balanced and vibrant, especially on finish, where some red cherry notes emerged. Thankfully Mounir didn't serve us this wine double blind because I would have likely thought it from Gevrey! 92+ points.
